[MO3.11] Basic Mount Technique -(Fishhook Escape)
[MO3.11] Basic Mount Technique -(Fishhook Escape)
This is illegal in most any type of sporting event, but it is part of self-defense. I have actually used this technique. I had an altercation in high school where I found myself on the ground and in a full mount. I reached around the opponent’s head and pulled my adversary to my chest. Basically, I locked him down. I did this so he could not easily punch me in the face. To change my position, I fish hooked my adversary’s cheek. As I twisted his head, I hooked my opponent’s leg with my ankle on the side I wanted to roll him. It worked well, and I rolled into a full mount and begin striking the opponent. This technique is fully a self-defense technique and has little or no sport application.
Warning: When you reach into the opponent’s mouth be careful. Run your finger or fingers along the adversary’s gums. Do not get between his/her teeth because they can bite you.
