SL1.5 Cross-body Arm-Bar Variation 2 (Wrist and Cross-face)
Warning: This technique should only be practiced with a qualified AOKK instructor present.
Execution:
The attacker punches or reaches for you.
- Grasp the assailant’s left wrist with your left wrist.
- Step to the side and behind and strike the face with the forearm. [Loosening-up technique]
- Slide your forearm under the attacker’s chin and apply pressure to the attacker’s throat.
Note: If the attacker resists your arm going under his/her chin push your forearm into the face and press against the attacker’s jaw.
- Rotate the attacker’s arm until the point of the elbow is against your chest.
- Arch your back and simultaneously pull back on the attacker’s arm and press against this her throat. Hyperextend the attacker’s elbow.
When you release the attacker, punch, kick or knee to the spinal column or kidneys.
