[KS13.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Head-butt]

[KS13.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Head-butt]

When the opponent places you in the guard, striking is not eliminated from the fight. Never stop striking the opponent. Even if the opponent ties up your arms you can still deliver a blow with your head. The strike is made with the crown of your head. This blow should be directed towards the opponent’s eyebrow area or nose.

Warning: Never, purposely follow an attacker to the ground.

Execution:

  • Student is in the guard or in top or full mount.
  • Trap the opponent’s arms.
  • Strike with the crown of your head.

Note: Do not let the grappler grab your arm. However, you may want to tie-up one of the opponent’s arms while you strike with the crown of your head.

Note: Try to break the opponent’s nose and cut the eyebrow area to get blood flowing.

Target Area:

  • Eyebrow
  • Nose

Note:  After the head-butt, follow it with knees strikes, elbows, along with closed and open hand strikes.
