[KS4.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Back Kick]

[KS4.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Back Kick]

The Turtle Position is one of the least desirable positions you can find yourself within, but that does not mean you cannot continue to strike. The Turtle exposes the back, and this violates all the rules of AOKK jujitsu, but it places the defender in a position to get back to their feet and extricate themselves from the situation. It is not good when you find yourself in this position, but if you’re in this position you cannot panic. This is a powerful technique, but it has one weakness. The kick must be timed perfectly. Once the kick is delivered get to your feet as quickly as possible.

Warning:  If there is more than one adversary, do not grapple with them. Get to your feet as quickly as possible.

Execution:

  • Student is in the Turtle Position.
  • Execute a backwards heel thrust and get to your feet.

Note: This technique can be done with either leg.

  • Move backwards and out of range before the attacker can come at you again.

Target Area:

  • Face
  • Groin
  • Solar Plexus
