[KS5.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Ax kick]

[KS5.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Ax kick]

This technique can be delivered from the standing position, but it is also a weapon when your back is on the ground.  Strike with the heel. This can be to the back, but the best shot is if you can break the adversary’s collar bone. Once you’re in the guard, this technique is not as effective.

Execution:

  • Student lies on his/her back.
  • Bring one knee up for support placing one foot on the ground.
  • Raise the second foot off the floor.
  • Arch your back and drop the heel down upon the attacker.

Note: This technique can be done with either leg.

Execution from the Guard:

  • Raise your leg straight up.
  • Drop your heel on the opponent’s kidneys bending your knee.

Note: It takes several blows to the kidneys to cause a distraction. The damage is felt the next day.

Target Area:

  • Face (If the attacker is preparing to pin you to the ground.)
  • Collarbone (If the attacker is preparing to pin you to the ground.)
  • Kidneys (In the Guard)

Note: Strike with the heel of the foot.

Note: This technique is good for women because they have greater lower body strength, but they must rain down their kicks one immediately following the other to keep an attacker a bay.
