[KS6.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Perpendicular Shin Kick]
[KS6.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Perpendicular Shin Kick]
This is a difficult kick to land. It can be used in concert with the “Bump Off” technique. You have a small window to drive your shin into their coccyx and bump the over your head or to the side. Always remember this must be done quickly before your window of opportunity closes.
Execution:
- Student lies on his/her back.
- Bring one knee up for support placing one foot on the ground.
- Raise the second foot off the floor.
- Execute a perpendicular shin kick by pushing off the support leg.
Note: This kick can be done with either leg.
Target Area:
- Coccyx (If the attacker straddles you above the waist.)
Note: Point the toes and strike with the shin.
