[15.06] Full Nelson Lock: (Throw)
[15.06] Full Nelson Lock: (Throw)
If you get behind the attacker and want to hold them until help arrives this is a good hold. The problem is opponents will begin to struggle. When that happens you must take him/her to the ground.
Warning: Do not attempt these techniques without a qualified AOKK instructor’s supervision.
AOKK Category:
- Leg Throws
Opening Technique:
Get behind the opponent and place them in a Full Nelson.
Execution:
- When uke struggles to free himself/herself, place your leg in front of them and rotate your hips in a form of tai-otoshi throwing them to the ground.
Note: Tani-otoshi (valley drop) works well too.
Warning: You must control uke’s fall because in this hold uke’s ability to break their fall is limited.
Grips:
- Place the opponent in a Full Nelson hold.
Warning: Never go to the ground if there are multiple opponents.
Note: If possible, get on uke’s back at the very least cross the hip line.
