MC24.0 Reverse Armbar with Pant Leg Choke

MC24.0 Reverse Armbar with Pant Leg Choke

This is a choke that is found in the fundamentals. When uke resists an armbar by tying off to his/her wrist, you can use the momentum generated by the opponent to roll with the technique and step over uke to place them in a reverse arm-bar.

Warning: This technique should only be practiced with a qualified AOKK instructor present.

Execution:
  • Uke ties-off to their wrist to prevent being placed in an armbar.
  • Reverse your position and pull uke’s arm in the direction he/she is pulling.
  • Step over uke and pull him/her forwards onto their face.
  • Pull uke up onto you calf muscle into the knee crease.
  • Apply pressure to the arm-bar.
  • On the side where ukes head is over your calf pull on your pant leg to apply the choke.
  • Release the choke and armbar if uke taps, or the attacker passes out.
