MC4.0 Mae-Hadaka-jime Variation-1(Guillotine Choke) [From the Guarding Position]
This is a very difficult choke to land. Only experienced fighters can land this technique. One mistake and your adversary can escape the choke. Make the opponent think you’re trying to apply a triangle choke. This is a good counter to Morote-gari or a double-leg takedown.
Warning: This technique should only be practiced with a qualified AOKK instructor present.
Note: This technique requires flexibility.
Execution:
- Pull uke into the guarding position, while wrapping your arm under the opponent’s neck creating the guillotine and tie-off to your uniform.
- Arch your back to apply pressure.
- Push the opponent’s arm backwards and slip one leg over his shoulder.
- If possible, slip your second leg over uke’s shoulder.
- Use your free hand to support the guillotine choke.
- Once both legs are over the opponent’s shoulders arch your back and push your thighs forward.
- Release the choke if uke taps, or the attacker passes out.
