[ML1.4] Squat Arm-bar: (arm-bar from a squat) 

Warning: This technique should only be practiced with a qualified AOKK instructor present.   

Opening Technique:    

Hip throw the opponent. Remain standing and grasp uke’s wrist.                              

Execution:
  • Opponent is on the ground and you are standing up.
  • Grasp uke’s wrist.
  • Tuck your feet under uke’s shoulders.
  • Squat and pull uke’s arms between your knees.
  • Pull upwards as you drop until the opponent’s arm is under your armpit.
  • Tie-off to your other arm, so there is additional leverage on the opponent’s elbow joint.
  • Arch your back to increase pressure. Push outward with your forearm.
  • Use your legs to rock backwards to increase pressure on the elbow.
