SL3.3 Head Lock with Armpit Tie-off
Warning: This technique should only be practiced with a qualified AOKK instructor present
Execution:
- Slip your arm around the opponent’s head as if placing him/her in a standard headlock
- Slid your arm under his/her armpit and tie-off to their back.
Note: Uke can be thrown forwards or backwards.
- To throw uke backwards with O-soto-gari (Major Outside Reaping).
- Be careful because you will be falling forward, so use your free arm to break the fall.
- Tot throw uke backwards drop to your bottom or use Sumi-gaeshi (Corner Reversal).
Warning: If the lock is maintained during the throw the attacker’s neck could be injured.
