Execution: (Kouchi-gari) (Inside Foot Reap)
- (Uke) Grip tori’s wrist or sleeve.
- (Uke) Drive your forearm (RH) into tori’s chest lifting them upward slightly.
- (Uke) Pull tori’s wrist downward.
- (Uke) Push backwards with your elbow and pull tori’s s hand across his/her body so most of their weight is on one leg.
- (Tori) As uke’s weight is transferred, step inside tori’s foot and reap the heel, of the foot lifting off the tatami, with the sole of your foot.
- (Tori) Drive them backwards while twisting them around throwing them to the ground using tori’s heel as a fulcrum.
Counter: (gaeshi) (Inside Foot Reap Counter)
- (Tori) Lifts foot to prevent uke’s sweep.
- (Tori) Steps down on the foot that uke tried to sweep.
- (Tori) Steps backward with their back leg.
- (Tori) Pulls uke forwards while twisting their shoulders around throwing them to the ground.
