[10.2.0] Section-10 Kaishaku: Counter to a Front Kick

Part-1 Attacker: Attacker Front Kicks
Part-2 Defender:
  • Pull back into a Cat stance to create distance.
  • Trap the attacker’s kicking leg and pull him/her forward breaking their balance.
  • Back knuckle strike and grasp the attacker’s collar with your lead hand.
  • Lift the attacker’s leg high with your rear hand.
  • Twist your hips and pull the attacker off balance throwing him/her to the ground.

Note: The attacker should fall backwards to the ground. Your practice partner must know break-falls.
