[17.2.0] Section-17 Bunkai: Counter to Lunging Tiger’s Mouth Choke

Part-1 Attacker: An Attacker Lunges at you  for a Tiger’s Mouth Choke.
Part-2 Defender: “U” Shape Strike and Throw (Kata-guruma)
  • “U” Shape Palm Strikes
  • Pull back into kokutsu dachi (Back Stance) and lower your center of gravity.
  • Block or push away the attacker’s arms with high shuto (RH).
  • Palm-heel strike the bladder to disrupt the attacker’s movement (LH).
  • Intercept and trap the attacker’s arm with the (RH).
  • Drive the (LH) left hand deep between the attacker’s legs to execute the “Fireman’s Carry” throw properly.

Note: This will force you to go deep to break the attacker’s balance.

  • Pull the attacker forward with the (RH) and lift upward with the left (LH) and your legs until the attacker is on your shoulders or the middle of your back.
  • Spin the attacker around so he/she losses orientation.
  • Throw the attacker to the ground.
