[8.2.0] Sunsu Section-8 Kaishaku: Counter to Front Kick

[Source:] [Isshin-Ryu Black Belt]
[Rating:] Basic
Part-1 Attacker: Attacker Front Kicks
Part-2 Defender: Trap Foot, Achilles’s lock, and Kick Support Leg
  • Trap the attacker’s kicking leg.
  • Pull backwards breaking the attacker’s balance.
  • Place the opponent in a Achilles tendon lock.
  • Use the attacker for balance and Side kick the attacker’s knee on the supporting leg.

Note: An alternate kick is a 45˚degree blade kick to the groin or inside of the leg. This too has devastating results without the severe trauma of the strike to the knee. The 45˚degree blade kick can be used to open up an opponent’s stance. This opens him/her up for a throw.

Part-3 Defender: Leg Reap [Suffix Technique]
  • Forty-five-degree Blade kick to the inner thigh.
  • Rotate your hips and throw the opponent with their leg.
