[3.3.2] Seisan Section-3 Bunkai: Counter to a Double Lapel Grasp
[3.3.2] Section-3 Kaishaku: Counter to a Lapel Grab
[Source:] Okinawan Kenpo Black-belt
[Rating:] Difficult
Part-1 Attacker: Grabs your Lapels (to control your movement)
Part-2 Defender: Muscle Separation and Snap Punch
- Go under the attacker’s arms and grasp the pectoral muscles. (RH)
- Pull and separate muscle tissue. (RH)
Note: This should cause them to release their grip.
- Pull back on the pectoral muscle (RH) and drive your fist into the attacker’s solar-plexus.(LH)
Information: To make this technique viable the karateka will need to develop a strong grip.
Opinion: This self-defense has a low percentage of success, but it is another example of possible bunkai that does not fit in the typical block and punch scenario.
