[7.4.0] Fourth Kaishaku: Counter to a One-Two Combination

Part-1 Attacker: Throws a Lead Hand Punch
Part-2 Defender: Block, Kick, Punch, Punch

Information: One Shorin-Ryu instructor explains that the front kick is to the inside of the knee. Also, the punches are rapid fire to prevent the attacker from striking with reverse punch, yet the last punch really facilitates a throw.

  • Middle Block the lead hand strike (LH).
  • Punch right (RH).
  • Punch left (LH).
  • Snap kick to groin.
Part-3 Attacker: Throws a Reverse Punch (Power Hand)

Part-4 Defender: Trap, Punch and Throw

  • When the attacker throws the reverse punch the attacker’s biceps and grab the punch (LH).
  • Pull the attacker’s punching hand forwards, while turning the elbow upwards, and placing it under your armpit (RH).
  • Use your armpit to maintain pressure on the elbow. (Standing arm bar techniques)
  • Throw the attacker via Tai-otoshi.

Hidden Technique: Execute Tai-Otoshi by turning the body.
