[4.2.0] Seisan Section-4 Bunkai: Counter to Single Hand Choke

[4.2.0] Seisan Section-4 Kaishaku: Counter to Single Hand Choke

[Source:] Isshin-ryu Black-belt 8th dan East Coast
[Rating:] Basic
Part-1 Attacker: Reaches (for your throat)
Part-2 Defender: Twin Forearm Block
  • Twin forearm block the attacker’s reach.
Part-3 Defender: Elbow Strike with Shuto Strike to the Groin
  • Elbow strike to the attacker’s jaw as you’re turning 180˚ while grasping, to control, the attacker’s wrist/arm.
  • Push attacker’s arms away as you continue your rotation.
  • Once you’re 180˚ from original position shuto strike backwards to the attacker’s groin.

Theory: Although this is one of the original Isshin-ryu kaishaku from a high-ranking instructor, it is never a good idea to turn your back on an adversary.

Information: This is very similar to the OIKKA version.
