[6.1.1] Shi Shi-No-Kun Bunkai Series-6: (Poke and Strip Combo)

(Kata Series 1) (Step-5,6)  

Note: This is the circular strip technique.

Attacker:

• Thrust the Bo tip forwards.

Defender:

• Diagonal block the thrust with the rear of the Bo. (LH Forwards)
• Strike down on the attacker’s wrist of the attcker’s lead hand with the rear of the Bo. (LH Forwards)
• Pull the rear of the Bo to the right hip and strike with the front of the weapon.

Attacker:

• Blocks the diagonal strike with front of Bo.
• Pulls back into the guarding position.

Defender:

• Poke the front of the weapon forward over the attacker’s Bo between the opponent’s hands.
• Hook under the opponent’s lead hand.
• Pull backwards while twisting the Bo to remove the attacker’s hand from the weapon.
