Diagonal strike with the front of the Bo to the opponent’s ribs or hip joint.
Diagonal strike with the back of the Bo to the opponent’s ribs or hip joint.
Stand-up and low underhand strike.
Strike downward, with the front of the weapon, as you pull back into the guarding position.
Note: In a confrontation you can slip and find yourself on one knee. This does not mean that the fight is over. Knowing how to respond when or if this happens is a good idea.
