[KS7.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Knee Strike from the Guard]
[KS7.0] Basic Mount Technique-[Knee Strike from the Guard]
When the opponent tries to clear your guard, in an attempt to make a top mount, the groin may be exposed. Just because you’re on your back does not mean you abandon striking.
Execution:
- Student is on his/her back.
- Bring one knee up for support placing one foot on the ground.
- Raise the second foot off the floor.
- Execute knee strike by pushing off the support leg.
Note: This strike can be done with either knee. The target is the groin or coccyx.
Note: If possible, throw the opponent to the side once you have your knee in his/her groin. This is your chance to regain your feet or place the opponent on their back.
Target Area:
- Coccyx (If the attacker straddles you above the waist.)
Note: Alternate the knee strikes and drive the knees into the coccyx one right after the other.
