ML2.1 Bird-Wing Lock (Uke in Turtle Position)
This again, is another option if uke is on all fours or in the Turtle Position. This can also be the position uke is in if you use a Birdwing of figure -four elbow lock to throw him/her to the ground.
Warning: This technique should only be practiced with a qualified AOKK instructor present.
Execution:
Uke in Turtle Position after Spin and Sprawl defense
- Uke is in the Turtle Position or on all fours.
- Grasp one of uke’s wrists.
- Pull uke’s arm backwards.
Note: You can place your knee in uke’s back to prevent him/her from raising p.
- Palm strike uke’s shoulder and bend his/her elbow into a birdwing lock.
- Apply pressure to the birdwing lock, and uke should be forced to his/her face.
- Release the lock when uke taps, or help arrives to subdue your attacker.
